All the information you need, to get a jump start on your new life within the Urban Campus Community and more especially in Atocha Coliving!
Your arrival is right around the corner and we’re getting ready to welcome you here, at Urban Campus Atocha Coliving! We have prepared for you this onboarding guide to facilitate your move and help you settle in.
🚀 How to get to the coliving?
Atocha Coliving is in the Delicias neighborhood. The address is Calle del Áncora 20, 28045 Madrid (Google Maps link here).
The closest metro station is Palos de la Frontera (line 3, yellow), just 100m from the coliving!
Tip: 🗺 Download the Google Maps map of Madrid before you arrive, to be able to consult it offline, if you find yourself without wifi upon your arrival in the city.
From the airport
- Taxi: The taxi is the best option if you arrive at night or if you are pressed for time. The taxi stand can be found right at the exit of the airport. The price is fixed at 30€, no matter where in the center of the city you are headed. The taxi will drop you off right outside our coliving, in around 25 min.
- Metro: All airport terminals have access to the metro. It runs from 6.00 to 1.00 (more or less). The price is around 5-6€ and the duration of the trip is a bit less than 1 hour.
Line 8 (pink): Airport > Nuevos Ministerios - Line 10 (dark blue): Nuevos Ministerios > Plaza de España - Line 3 (yellow): Plaza de España - Palos de la Frontera.
From Atocha train station
The coliving is super close to the Atocha train station. That's why we called it like that :) It is just 10 minutes walk!By car
Please note that you must pay for parking, in the street outside the coliving, and it is limited to 4 hours (blue zone).
🏠 How to access the coliving?
Moving in is easy and hassle-free, so you can arrive whenever you want. You'll receive all the instructions by mail to move in just before your start date but here is a summary of the different steps.
Step 1: 📲 Install Tapkey, the Mobile door opening app on your phone
Follow the simple steps with this link!
Step 2: 🏠 Open the building door
When you arrive at the coliving (Calle del Áncora 20), open the building door with the code we sent you by email.
Please, for your own security, don't share this code with any external person.
Step 3: 🥳 Find your apartment!
Use the stairs or the lift to go up. Find your apartment and open the door with the Tapkey app.
Tip: 🗝 You can open the doors of the common areas with the Tapkey app.
Tip 2: 🔌 No more battery or lost smartphone? No worries! ;) You can use the Tapkey app with another smartphone. Use your credentials to connect to the app and you'll have the same access as with your own smartphone. Also, we installed a universal charger station at the entrance of the building. Charge your phone for a little while and you're good to go!
🛏 Discover your private space!
Welcome home! We hope you like it!
We even left a few cleaning basics as a welcome gift: toilet paper, kitchen paper, bin bags, Fairy, etc. So you can relax a bit before going to buy it by yourself. ☺️
On your first day, we will send you a move-in document. Please check the space to make sure you're not missing anything, and then sign the document asap!
If you chose the bedlinen extra-service, your bed will be equipped with sheets and you'll find towels waiting for you in your bathroom.
If you didn't choose the bedlinen extra-service, here you can find the size of the equipment to bring your own bedlinen:
- If you have a bed of 135x190, the 2 pillows are 70x40 and the duvet is 240x220.
- If you have a bed of 150x190, the 2 pillows are 80x40 and the duvet is 260x240.
Tip: 🔌 Spain operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
Tip: 🔑 You can open all the doors of the coliving with your smartphone.

Common areas
Living in a coliving means enjoying its common areas! They are ready to be used by any member of the building, with restricted access at night.
- Basement: Common areas, patio, and pool!
Perfect place to meet with the community: play, cook, work, chill, train, ENJOY!

An amazing rooftop with BBQ, and showers, to enjoy the 350 sunny days a year in Madrid. - 6th floor: Green terrace and dynamic terrace
Two sunny terraces to chill and to exercise.
All these common areas close at night, please respect the opening hours and the work of the security workers coming to close the spaces.
In order to share these common areas and live peacefully and safely in the coliving space, remember that every resident commits to a series of community guidelines when they join the Urban Campus community.
Tip: ↕️ To move around the building, there is one lift.
Security: 🧯 You can find extinguishers in the staircases on every floor.
Pool
Be ready to enjoy the summer living in a coliving with a pool! 🏊🏽

Remember: the use of the pool outside of opening hours is strictly forbidden! Not respecting the above would lead us to use our disciplinary policy and could lead to the termination of the subscription.
🏘 Discover the neighborhood!
Time to take a walk around the "barrio" and maybe do some shopping. The neighborhood is very dynamic and you can find everything you need just a few meters away from your home!
Supermarkets
- Lidl: middle-sized supermarket just in front of the coliving
- Ahorra más: cheap supermarket around the corner Paseo de las Delicias, close to the metro station
- Dia: small supermarket one block away
Other local shops
- Bakery Levaduramadre: one of the best bakery brands in town, at 50m from the coliving - they even offer a discount for the coliving residents
- Printing shop Imprenta Impresión Arte Digital
- Pharmacy: you have 2 pharmacies very close, this one and this one!
- ... and clicking on this link will take you to the top 12 of Madrid bars and restaurants, chosen by the community!
📝 Where to find my subscription info?
You have access to all your subscription information via your member area, online. Log in with the mail you used for the booking and you'll have instant access to everything you need to handle your subscription: contracts, bills, payment information, etc.

You are joining an amazing community! The other residents are your best allies for this new adventure. Feel free to ask them anything, they will be more than happy to share more tips, good practices, and all you need to know about Madrid and the neighborhood.
