Your move-in is getting close and we are ready to welcome you to La Maillerie Coliving! We have created this welcome Guide to make your move-in easier and to help you settle in.
🚀 How to get to the coliving?
La Maillerie Coliving is in the « La Maillerie » neighborhood. The address is 350 Rue de la Mode, 59491, Villeneuve d’Ascq. La Maillerie is more specifically located in between Villeneuve d’Ascq and Croix, as these small towns are neighbors.
The closest metro is Croix Centre (Red line 2), located at 700m from the residence.
Tip: 🗺 Download the Google Maps map of Villeneuve d’Ascq before you arrive, to be able to consult it offline, if you find yourself without wifi upon your arrival in the city.
- From the Lille-Lesquin airport
Taxi: The taxi is the best option if you arrive at night or if you are in a hurry. The taxi station is located in the drop-off area of the air terminal (Floor 2). Price ranges from 35 to 40 euros during the day and from 40 to 50 euros from 20.00 to 6.00. The taxi will drop you off right outside our coliving, in less than 20 min.
Airport shuttle: The shuttle enables you to reach the center of Lille in 20mn, everyday, including bank holidays.
From the airport: The shuttle will pick you up at the drop-off area, next to the A door entrance, near the check-in desks and Departure zones.
It stops at the train station area (Gares Lille Europe et Lille Flandres), where you can easily take public transportation (métro / bus / tram). From Lille Flandres, take the Red line 2 to C.H Dron and stop at Croix Centre. La Maillerie is 7 minutes by foot from there !
From Lille: The shuttle will pick you up in front of the CIC building, facing the Place des Buisses square, very close to the train and metro station "Lille Flandres".
Prices: One way: 8 € / Round trip: 14 €. You can buy the tickets from the driver only, by cash or credit card.
- From station TGV Lille Europe and Lille Flandres
The 2 train stations are located at 3 minutes walk away from one another.
N.B: To take public transportation in Lille, you have to provide yourself with a "Pass Pass" card, at 0,20€. With this card, you will be able to purchase tickets.
From Lille Europe station
Taxi: The taxi stop is on the 1st floor of the station, Boulevard de Leeds, near the Novotel Suites. It is 15minutes around to reach the coliving.
Métro : Take the Red line 2 to Tourcoing C.H Dron and stop at the "Croix Centre" station. It is around 20 minutes to reach the coliving. Metro is open from 5.12 to 00.30, everyday.
Prices: 1,15€ for a 3-station journey (« ticket ZAP »), 1,80€ for a longer journey (more than 3 stations). You can buy your Pass Pass card (0.20 euros extra) and your tickets at the automatons inside the metro station.
From Lille Flandres station
Taxi: Taxi stations are located at the station's exits, place des Buisses, and rue de Tournai. It is around 15 minutes to reach the coliving.
Métro : Take the Red line 2 to Tourcoing C.H Dron and stop at the "Croix Centre" station. It is around 22 minutes to reach the coliving.
- By car
Parking is free throughout Villeneuve d'Ascq but is limited to 1.30 hours in the blue zones.
Parking disc
To avoid being fined, you must have a parking disc visibly displayed under your windscreen. You can collect one from the reception desks at the Town Hall and the local town halls. These blue zones are signposted. Find here all the information relative to Villeneuve d’Ascq park rules.
- By bike
Bike racks are available for free in the coliving, both in the ground floor, one located in the North Building and another in the South Building.
You can also use the shared bike service, V'Lille, for your daily trips into the town and in the outlying towns. From the two train stations in Lille, it is around 30 mn by bike to reach the coliving. A V'lille docking point is 150 meters away from the residence. It is located 251, Rue Jean Jaurès, 59491 Villeneuve d’Ascq.

🏠 How to access the coliving?
Moving in is easy and hassle-free, so you can arrive whenever you want. You'll receive all the instructions by mail to move in just before your start date but here is a summary of the different steps.
Step 1: 📲 Install Salto, the Mobile door opening app on your phone
Find here the useful information regarding Salto and access to your accomodation.
Step 2: 🏠 Open the building door
When you arrive at the coliving, open the building door with the code we sent you by email.
Please, for your security, don't share this code with any external person.
Step 3: 🥳 Find your unit!
Use the stairs or the lift to go up. Find your apartment and open the door with the Salto app.
🎊 Welcome Home!
Congratulations and welcome to your new room! We hope you like it.
A few days before move-in, you have received by email your move-in document via Domusign. Read it carefully, and do not hesitate to tell us the things you think relevant and not indicated in the document: maintenance issue, lack of cleaning... Do not wait to let us know, the Urban Campus team is here to help you.
Then sign the document online. This must be done on the 1st day of move-in.
Once it is done, you have 10 more days to report other potential remarks/problems you may not have noticed on your first day. If so, please contact the Support team (specifying your room number). Please note this document will be used as well on the day of your move-out.
👯 Discover the rest of the coliving!
From day 1, do not hesitate to meet and talk with your news colivers! You will meet them in the common areas, they will be able to give you more details regarding the day-to-day life inside the residence.
On the first floor is the yard, the event hall and chill-out space, the coworking area, the shared kitchen, the fitness room, and the movie room.
🏘 Discover the neighborhood!
Time to take a walk around and maybe do some shopping! You will find everything you need close to the coliving:
Supermarkets
- Intermarché Super Croix: Big supermarket, 15 minutes walk away from the residence; They also have a Drive-through service and delivery service. Check on their website
- Supermarché Matc: big supermarket, 8mn walk away from the residence.
Other shops in the area
- Les Halles de la Maillerie by Biltoky: A nice food court bringing together ten independent food corners from the Lille area. A must-visit!
- Brique House: BIG TAPROOM.COOL BEERS.GREAT FOOD. This is their motto, we won’t say more, this place is worth trying for lunch, dinner, or even just a drink!
- Pharmacie du Breucq: 7 mn walk away from the residence
- Bakery Plaisirs et Gourmandises: 4 mn walk away, open everyday 6.30-19 Sundays until 12.30, closed on Monday and Tuesday.
