Everything you need to know about rules and the disciplinary policy.
As a member in Urban Campus you sign a contract agreeing to abide by specific rules to ensure the safety and well being of the staff and residents.
📝 Urban Campus resident rules
Any act of disrespect to the Lessor staff, Management staff, or another resident, whether physical or verbal will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of the contract.
Any action that would jeopardize the security, reputation, or interests of the building or it residents and occupants will result in an immediate termination of the contract (especially but not limited to, generation or fire, smoke, use of dangerous substances, etc). Tampering with any fire safety equipment will result in a 150€ fine and a first warning being issued.
In order to respect privacy, and the need for quiet spaces, noise should be kept to a minimum after 10 pm from Sunday to Thursday and 12 am on Friday and Saturday. This is especially important in shared spaces close to rooms.
Recurrent noise complaints over a person's noisy activities will result in disciplinary actions.
Shared Common Space
Common areas (such as, kitchens, living rooms, playrooms, bathrooms etc.) must be used respectfully, as they are used by ever resident in the building: sleeping is not allowed and everyone should leave them clean and organized after every use.
The furniture and equipment of these areas should never be moved out of the space where it belongs, and no other furniture should be brought in. Any damae caused in the common areas will be repaired by the management of the building, at the expense of the party who caused the damage.
Drinking & Illegal Substances
Alcoholic drinks are allowed in the building, given that all drinking will be carried in a responsible manner. Any drunk or disorderly behavior that distrupts other residents' well-being will result in a strike and/or termination of the contract.
All illegal substances are absolutely prohibited from entrance and use in the space, and any use, possession or distribution of illegal substances will result in an immediate termination of the contract.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking or vaping is not allowed in any areas of the building. Any one caught smoking or vaping in the building will receive a strike.
You are responsible for any guests you invite inside the building and it is your obligation to let them know about the Internal Regime Regulation. In case of any problems, damages, or misconduct you will be held responsible for their actions and behavior.
🚫 Disciplinary Policy
To make sure all residents can enjoy the happiest living experience together, we've created a fair three-step policy. It applies to anyone, whenever the rules described are not respected.
- A first written warning
- A second written warning and meeting with Management
- Termination of the lease contract
If you got a disciplinary warning, you will not have priority on room changes petitions during 6 months.
*This policy gives you a chance to have a bad day, and explain your side of the story, with certain limits.
❗️ Termination of the Contract
Not respecting the following essential conditions will allow to termination the lease contract immediately, without the previous two written warnings:
- Any disrespect of staff or another resident, whether physical or verbal.
- Any use, possession or distribution of illegal substances.
- Any action that would jeopardize the security, reputation, or interests of the building or its residents and occupants (especially but not limited to, generation or fire, smoke, use of dangerous substances, etc).
- And activity that may be prosecuted by law.
